FREIGHT ELEVATORS AND MATERIAL LIFTS

LET US DO THE HEAVY LIFTING

Back in 1988, our very first project was a material lift for an automotive dealer (it’s still going strong). Since then, we’ve manufactured hundreds of material lifts and freight elevators to meet the demands of every application from hospitals and post-secondary institutions to manufacturing facilities and high-volume restaurants. If your application requires a dust-proof or explosion-proof elevator or material lift, we’re certified to manufacture and install those, too.

Our background is elevators, so we like to say we pay attention to details that other manufacturers might ignore, including ride quality, noise and a design that’s more comfortable and efficient for the material handler. More than three decades of experience manufacturing and installing freight elevators and lifts also makes us a knowledgeable resource when it comes to determining the type and configuration of a lift to minimize costs for your application.

FREIGHT ELEVATOR VS MATERIAL LIFT: HOW TO CHOOSE?

Whether you opt for a material lift or freight elevator comes down to application, space and budget. A freight elevator is the best choice when you need to move material efficiently over a longer distance. It’s fully automated and can travel faster than 100 feet per minute, and it’s the only choice when the travel distance is greater than 25 feet. A material lift has limitations. It maxes out at 25 feet of travel and a speed of 30 feet per minute, and requires manual operation to move and open doors. On the upside, a material lift only requires a 12” pit and can cost half as much as a freight elevator.

If you’ve got the goods, we’ve got the best way to move them safely, efficiently and reliably for the next 40 years. Talk to us about what you need and we’ll find your solution.
